Management liability insurance, or Directors’ and Officers’ (D&O) liability insurance is insurance cover that offers financial protection to those who are the director, partner, officer or manager of a business. It is designed to cover the cost of claims for compensation made against the insured individual.

A basic D&O Insurance policy provides 2 areas of cover:
Claims Made Against The Directors
This covers the defence costs and damages
an individual incurs if the company is
unable/will not defend the insured person.
Known as ‘Side A cover’
This covers the Company’s costs if it legally
obligated or permitted to defend the Insured
Person from a claim made against them.
Known as ‘Side B cover’
